Obtain 1st Class Medical
You will need a medical certificate before you can enroll in your program. You can get that by scheduling a 1st class medical exam with an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME):

Reserve Your Start Date
Our Pro Pilot Program start dates are the 2nd Monday of every month. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place which will be applied to your training costs.
You must have arranged funding, obtained a 1st class medical certificate, and be accepted into the Pro Pilot Program at Ignite Flight Academy before reserving your start date:

You will receive part of your Pro Pilot Training Kit in the mail prior to your orientation, which will include access to your online course, Ignite Flight merch, and other materials. We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you on your journey to becoming a professional pilot!

Program Prerequisites*
- 18 years of age on or prior to the start date
- United States citizen
- Read, speak, write, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an evaluation flight if shorter than 5’2″, taller than 6’4″, or weigh more than 260 lbs (due to ergonomic cockpit constraints and aircraft limitations)
- No aviation incidents or accidents and no FAA enforcement actions
- Pass a TSA background check
- Obtain an FAA first-class medical certificate
- Must be a driven and motivated individual with good moral character
