Steps to Enroll
- Apply to Ignite Flight Academy
- Complete an Interview
- Receive Acceptance to Attend Ignite Flight Academy
- Enroll in the International Professional Pilot Program
- Pay the Training Deposit
- Receive & Review I-20, Pay SEVIS I-901 Fee
- Apply for M-1 Visa
- Schedule, Prepare, & Attend Your Visa Interview
- Make Housing & Travel Arrangements
- Apply & Receive Approval on a Security Threat Assessment as part of the TSA’s Flight Training Security Program
- Arrive in the United States & Check-In at the Training Facility
- Obtain an FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
- Attend Orientation on Your Assigned Program Start Date & Start Flying!

International Program
Requirements
- 18 years of age on or prior to the start date
- Completion of a video call interview
- Read, speak, write, and understand English and if English is not your first language a 100 on the Duolingo English Test
- High school diploma or equivalent (example 10+2 in India)
- Body height between 5’2″ (1.57m) and 6’4″ (1.93m) and weigh no more than 260 lbs (118 kg) (due to ergonomic cockpit constraints and aircraft limitations)
- No aviation incidents or accidents and no FAA enforcement actions
- Ability to pass a TSA background check
- Ability to obtain an FAA first-class medical certificate
- Must be a driven and motivated individual with good moral character
- Able to provide a bank statement or loan documents in English (certified translations are acceptable) showing full funds available within 1 month of applying and paying the training deposit prior to traveling to the United States
- Current & valid international passport
